Bill Gates on population reduction

Bill gates, in his own words, admits Vaccinations play a role in population reduction. The Gates foundation administers vaccines in Africa & around the world. I thought vaccines were supposed to save lives ?? What is in those vaccines that causes the population to be less ?? Where is Anderson Cooper when you need him ??
